Goal: To provide dignity, comfort, and confidence during cancer treatment.
Founded by Judy Martin and supported by the Bell Fund, this program offers newly diagnosed cancer patients a thoughtful and practical “Comfort Kit” on their first day of treatment. Each kit contains essential items to ease discomfort and support well-being throughout the treatment journey.
Goal: To provide a sense of care and comfort from the very beginning of the cancer experience.
Created by Lynn and Randy Aziz in memory of their daughter Jackie (“Jax”), the AYA Cancer Program at Cedars ensures that no young person faces cancer alone. Established in 2022, the program supports individuals aged 15–39 with coordinated, age-appropriate care that bridges pediatric and adult oncology. From medical treatment to emotional support, fertility counseling, survivorship planning, and guidance on education, career, and finances, the program empowers young people to navigate cancer while continuing to define their identities, goals, and futures.
