This year, The Bell Fund celebrates 10 years of bringing comfort and hope to newly diagnosed cancer patients at the MUHC. Founded by Judy Martin, who was inspired during her own chemotherapy journey, the Fund gives every newly diagnosed patient a Comfort Kit and provides a soft blanket for every child on Sarah’s Floor at the Montreal Children’s Hospital.
Since its launch on World Cancer Day 2016, The Bell Fund has aimed to raise $1 million to support these initiatives. The tradition of ringing the Bell to mark the end of chemotherapy continues to inspire patients, staff, and families at the Cedars Cancer Centre.
